HRH Track Day - June 8th

This Tuesday, the junior high students at Holy Redeemer will be competing in track and field events, which will all be in the name of fun.
Each year, the grade 7, 8, and 9 students divide into cross-grade groups led by one of the HRH staff members, and go from event to event trying each track and field sport. The students on each team cheer each other as they attempt to reach the gold, silver or bronze standards. Ribbons for each level will be handed out at the end of the day. High school students will be running the events, which include the 100m, javelin, discuss and high jump, among others.
At lunch, the Holy Redeemer Parent Council provides a great barbeque lunch for the participating and volunteer students.
We invite members of the media to join the HRH students and staff at this fun-filled event by interviewing and taking photographs. The track and field day begins at 9:00am and runs until 3:00pm. For more information, please contact Dana Jumaga or Mike McAndrews at 780-723-7437.
