A big thank you to Matricia Brown for hosting a fantastic storytelling session on April 16th. We are very grateful that our HRH religion classes had the opportunity to spend time with Matricia and listen to the vast knowledge she holds about indigenous culture and traditions. Students learned about smudging and the importance it holds, indigenous medicines and traditional stories told in indigenous communities. HRH is blessed to have someone in our community like Matricia who can share their knowledge and help our students grow and develop to be culturally responsive citizens.
