Complementary Courses

Junior High Career & Technology Foundations
 
Students enrolled in grade 7, 8 and 9 are eligible to take option classes. These courses are designed to assist out students in becoming more well-rounded students and citizens by focusing on the outcomes found in the Career and Technology Foundation (CTF) Program. Some of these option classes include:
  • Art
  • Corefit
  • Drama
  • Film Studies
  • Foods
  • Industrial Arts
  • Outdoor Activities
  • STEM
 
Senior High Options
As per Alberta Education, students are required to take some option classes. These courses are designed to give students the opportunity to pursue different career paths after high school. Some courses are prescribed Alberta Education courses, while others focus on modules found in the Career and Technology Studies (CTS) Program. These courses include:
  • Advanced Acting
  • Agriculture
  • Art
  • Astronomy
  • Drama
  • Film Studies
  • Fitness
  • Foods
  • Indigenous Studies
  • Industrial Arts
  • Photography
  • Technical Theatre
  • Travel / Tourism (will focus on Travel Club trip to Japan)
