Holy Redeemer grade 10 student Sadie Whitford proudly stood in the front of the school's Indigenous mural wearing her traditional clothing during National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. She is holding an orange ribbon that says "Every child matters" in Ojibway. HRH hosted numerous events throughout the day to celebrate Indigenous culture. "The entire staff collaborated to ensure our students fully understand the importance of truth and reconciliation," says Kim Nahirniak, who also teaches Aboriginal Studies. "In addition, we wanted to celebrate Indigenous culture, and I'm happy to say we did just that."
