Holy Redeemer is proud to announce that six of our talented high school students have been accepted to participate in the Generate-Navigate education summit in Canmore, Alberta from March 16-19, 2023. In addition to being awarded a prestigious scholarship from Inside Education to attend the event, our students also received a generous donation of $2100 from PTW Energy Services in Edson to help cover travel expenses as well as outfitted the team with hoodies and toques to wear on their adventure. This dynamic learning experience provides students and teachers with a unique opportunity to interact with science experts and innovators to advance energy, water, climate, and leadership education in Alberta. We are extremely excited to have this opportunity to showcase what our talented students in Edson have to offer as young leaders in the scientific community. Through this program our student ambassadors will be empowered and supported to make a meaningful difference in our school and the Edson community with an Environmental Leadership Project where they intend to share their acquired knowledge and skills with younger students and inspire them to pursue careers related to the sciences as well as undertake leadership roles.
