Update for Parents

Dear Holy Redeemer Families,

As everyone is aware an emergency evacuation has been put into place for Yellowhead County and the Town of Edson. The situation remains tenuous and uncertain. Our number one priority continues to be for the wellbeing and safety of our staff, students and families.

With the recent update from the Town of Edson and Yellowhead County it is expected that we will be evacuated until at least Wednesday, June 14th, 2023. Holy Redeemer and Vanier Schools will be closed until it is safe to welcome students back. The Town of Edson and Yellowhead County have stressed the importance of leaving these areas in order to secure safety. If you require any help or support you can call 1-833-334-4630. I am also available by email [email protected] if you need to reach me.

Parents of students who are scheduled to write Diploma exams, I will update you as soon as I receive information from Superintendent Lanctot and Alberta Education.

We will continue to update everyone as we receive any information. For the most updated information please visit the Town of Edson website and Facebook page, as well as the Yellowhead County Website and Facebook page.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone during this time and we pray for those who are impacted by the threat of wildfires and for those who are working courageously to fight them.

Stay Safe Everyone,

God Bless,

Betty Churchill
Principal
